Event Response Bike Unit
Saturday, 12 November 2011 12:40

AED_BIKE2

The IRC Dundalk Units are currently in the process of setting up an Event Response Bike Unit.

The "ERBU" will be made available at duties we supply medical cover for. Primarily the bikes will operate in pairs and work in areas difficult or slow to access by conventional ambulance. The unit will carry essential life saving equipment to provide Primary Patient Care including: oxygen, medications, diagnostics, defibrillator, and general first aid equipment.

To aid in the establishment of the unit, we are looking for your help to provide one of the key elements of the service. By donating your old mobile phone we can avail of an AED scheme. We only need to collect 250 phones, so can you help???

Phones can be simply dropped into our hall in Jocelyn St / forwarded to our members / or contact us @ 087-9057616 for collection. As always we thank the community in Dundalk for helping us to help you.
